The HOMECOOK is a person who wants to share his/her passion for cooking by hosting people in his/her own home or in other places which are available to him/her so as to offer lunch, dinner, an aperitif or cooking classes to his/her guests. For this sharing, he/she requires in return a reimbursement of the expenses incurred and for the time spent working.
The GUEST - typically a foreign tourist - is interested in tasting the local cuisine at the home of a local, in order to experience with greater genuineness the atmosphere of the place. My Italian Friends Ltd is a Company based in the UK which provides both parties with this service, a website that links HOMECOOKS to GUESTS.
The HOMECOOK, in his/her page on the homefooditaly.com website, describes his/her own home, the dishes he/she can prepare, the knowledge of cuisine that he/she wants to share, the dates when he/she wants to host and the number of guests' places available.
If the GUEST wants to book an event, he/she can do so through the website. Payment will be collected by My Italian Friends Ltd on behalf of the HOMECOOK.
Upon payment, My Italian Friends Ltd shall communicate:
- to the HOMECOOK, the date, time and number of participants
- to the GUEST, the date, time and address of the venue.
My Italian Friends Ltd shall collect payment from the GUEST at the time of booking and shall transfer to the HOMECOOK the sum agreed, at net of commission and administration costs, within 48 hours from supplying the service, providing there are no complaints from the GUEST.
The HOMECOOK and the GUEST, by registering to the website, fully accept the working conditions described herein and are personally responsible for their participation in the Community. The HOMECOOK shall describe with accuracy and honesty the premises where he/she intends to host, the dishes prepared and the culinary secrets he/she wants to share. THE GUEST, in return, undertakes to conduct himself/herself with courtesy, politeness and fairness towards the host. Both parties may at any time cancel their registration from the service.
My Italian Friends Ltd reserves the indisputable right to exclude from participation in this Community all those who do not adhere with good faith and fairness to this cultural exchange.
THE GUEST and the HOMECOOK authorize My Italian Friend Ltd to use their personal data to manage the website services and to make use at no charge of the material provided (images, texts and videos) for advertising the service without restriction and/or time limits.
THE GUEST agrees to these Terms and undertakes to observe them when registering on the website and/or using the Services.
Transactions take place on the homefooditaly.com website, this contract shall therefore be viewed as finalised in the UK and is subject to the laws of the British Court.

If he/she is a private, he/she acknowledges that the activity is carried out on an occasional basis. My Italian Friends Ltd does not check what is published on the personal page of the various HOME COOKS, although it reserves the right to remove from the website illegal, incorrect or misleading content without prior notice.
My Italians Friends Ltd is in no way provider of the services (lunch, dinner, cocktails or cooking classes) offered by the HOME COOKS to the GUESTS, nor a mediator between the parties and therefore has no liability of any kind with regard to the obligations by them assumed and to the quality of the services offered, but rather focuses exclusively on providing a platform for the exchange.
The GUEST can cancel a booking without penalty if cancellation is within the terms established by each HOMECOOK, before booking we therefore invite the GUEST to read carefully the cancellation policy of each specific event. In the absence of specific terms, there will be no charge if cancellation is made over 24 hours in advance, there will be a charge of 100% for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the time of the event. If cancellation is within the terms established by the HOMECOOCK, the amount collected by My Italian Friends Ltd at the time of booking will be returned in full to the GUEST without adding any charge or commission.
Should there be any complaints by the GUEST because what is proposed by the HOME COOK has not been performed or has been performed improperly, My Italians Friend Ltd will not proceed to the collection of the sum and shall settle a friendly arbitration between the parties.
If for any serious and justified reasons the HOME COOK can not perform what he/she proposed (lunch, dinner, cooking lessons etc.), he/she shall promptly notify it to My Italian Friend Ltd which, in this case, will not proceed to the collection of the amount paid by the GUEST and shall inform the latter in this respect. If for any reason the HOME COOK can offer a reduced or limited performance, he/she then shall apply a discount in accordance with the level of service provided.
